Show & Tell Linky 1/2016

I'm so happy to be joining Stephanie for the first monthly show and tell Linky!  Take a look below!

We began report card assessments today in kindergarten.  It is a very long process since everything is done 1-1 with each child. These are all the materials I need.

We wrapped up our celebration of Martin Luther King, Jr. today while making this fun craft. It's great for fine motor practice and listening skills!

This is a throw-back post to a few years ago but we have some of these projects on display now. I love to see the facts they remember about cardinals. And the ideas they have about being fair are great!  We ran out of time this year to do the New Years picture.  It's one of my favorites though.  Click the picture to see the whole post!

We're having a sale!  So everything in my store is 20% off plus you use the code START16 for an extra 8% off!  Doesn't get better than that!  Here's my 2 newest products!  Click the picture to see them!

Head over to TpT and see what you'd like!

Are you Ready for a Sale? Cyber Monday 2015

I hope you are gearing up for the big sale! I know I am. I wanted to share some of the most wish listed items from my store so I'm linking up with Teaching in the Tongass.  I also added some products that are totally new at the end of this post. Keep reading to see them!  I hope you find this helpful!

This pack is great to use with kindergarten, first or second grade struggling readers. You could use it for whole group, centers, or intervention time. I have even used it for morning work. Once your students are familiar with the format, the only change from page to page is the sight word and sentence. I have another pack that works on just sight words. You can find that in my store too! Sight Word Practice

Weirdly enough, this is one of my top sellers and most wish listed. Since its initial creation, I have updated the look and have added 2 sets of cards to use for differentiating. This is an easy activity to put in a center or math station. My students love walking around the room with a clipboard, so I tape the cards on the wall for the kids to find, count and record. I also have a memory game in my store! Place Value Memory

Let's Sequence Sentences - Summer Edition

This is one of my most wish listed items - although not seasonal right now, I have a bundle which currently includes the fall and summer editions.  I plan to post the winter edition by the end of this week (December 5th). And the spring edition will follow by March. BUNDLE Let's Sequence Sentences

These are my 4 newest packs. Two are great seasonal activities and two are great for my kinders right now to work on building their sight word knowledge. You can check them out with the links below.

Now, it you haven't already, go see (Teaching in the Tongasswhat everyone else has in their store! Be sure to use the code: SMILE at checkout for the extra discount!

In the spirit of thanking and giving to my readers....leave a comment with what product you'd like below. I'll pick 10 people and send them your way!

.
2.  My kiddos did some great learning this week during guided reading time.  This is a student from the local High School who is volunteering in my room.  She is helping these kiddos make sight words from their story.

3.  It's assessment time!  I feel like once May hits...all I'm doing is pulling kids to assess their growth.  We have a state test called PALS that we have to give, interims go home next week, our goal setting data is due soon, and running records have to be done before the end of the year.  I'm going to stay VERY busy!!  Here's my student teacher working with one child on the interim assessment.

4.  My kids did a great job at the pocket chart station this week!  I love these cards that my student teacher drew.  She is an amazing artist!  I've been encouraging her to look into getting a computer program so that she can make her graphics digital and sell on TpT!  My kids loved sorting these pictures while listening for diagraphs.

5.  And Friday we worked on making this really neat plant picture.  I think the photos say it all.  I'll have to remember to take a picture of the finished products hanging in the hallway on Monday!

Thanks for hanging around til the end!  Be sure to check on Teachers Notebook this weekend!  The sale ends on Monday!
Now head over to see what everyone else was up to this week!

Peek at My Week 3/31 {Oviparous Animals} and Giveaway Help Needed!

Well, I am finally back!  Between moving houses and all the snow day interruptions, my lesson plans have been a little crazy.  And I haven't been good at getting blog posts together.  However, we have been doing some really neat things in our class.  I will try to get some other pictures up this week to show you what we have been up to.
I'm here to link up with Deedee and Mrs. Laffin's Laughings for a Peek at My Week!

This week, we are going to have a little introduction of Spring and then talk about oviparous animals.  Here's my plans:

I will point out that Ketchen's Kindergarten has some amazing math journals for kindergarten.  She has made them very user friendly for printing front to back (to save paper!) and it doesn't require a separate journal for the kiddos.  I have used her March ones this month and LOVE them!  Check out all of them {HERE}.  They are FREE!!!!
You can click any of the pictures above to get my plans in PDF from Google Drive.  Then be sure to come back this week to see pictures of our super fun crafts, writing, reading and math!
So the other part to this post is....my blog will be O-N-E on April 16th.  I can't believe it!  I just started this on a whim last year and am so happy at the success!  I'd like to throw a huge giveaway.  If you have something you'd like to contribute, please fill out the form below.
Ok....now head over to see what everyone else is up to this week!

Wild Week!

What a wild and crazy week it has been.  Last week we had a holiday Monday and Tuesday-Friday were cancelled for snow days.  We finally went to school Monday and Tuesday of this week then had snow days Wednesday and Thursday.  Today we had a 2 hour delay.  So my plans will remain pretty much the same!  I have to teach matter, shadows, day/night and groundhogs to my kiddos over the next 2 weeks.  AHHH  Not to mention Valentine's and 100th Day is coming in just 2 weeks!!!

So....with that said...I'm having a sale in my store this weekend at TN and TpT!  Be sure to stop by....and enjoy the SUPER BOWL!!!!

Winter Math Stations - SALE ends today!!!

Hello! I wanted to share my newest product that I have finished. It is uploaded and included in the Tpt Sale that ends today!!! Be sure to check it out!

It includes 4 different math games that I'm going to use for Math Stations.  The kids use gingerbread themed puzzles to match dominoes to base ten blocks (similar to my pumpkin puzzles in Fall Math Stations) with numbers from 21-30.  There is a stocking themed dice graphing game.  My favorite is the Write the Room where they are adding with pictures of peppermints and candy canes.  And finally, there is a snowman measuring activity that would be great to use in January.  I think the candies write the room could be used in January as well.  So go check it out.  There is only a few hours left to purchase if for 28% off using the code CYBER at check out!!
