Peek at My Week 3/31 {Oviparous Animals} and Giveaway Help Needed!

Well, I am finally back!  Between moving houses and all the snow day interruptions, my lesson plans have been a little crazy.  And I haven't been good at getting blog posts together.  However, we have been doing some really neat things in our class.  I will try to get some other pictures up this week to show you what we have been up to.   I'm here to link up with Deedee and Mrs. Laffin's Laughings for a Peek at My Week! 

This week, we are going to have a little introduction of Spring and then talk about oviparous animals.  Here's my plans: 

I will point out that Ketchen's Kindergarten has some amazing math journals for kindergarten.  She has made them very user friendly for printing front to back (to save paper!) and it doesn't require a separate journal for the kiddos.  I have used her March ones this month and LOVE them!  Check out all of them {HERE}.  They are FREE!!!! This week, I'm trying to wrap up matter and shadows while spending a little bit of time talking about day and night.  They are calling for more snow on Wednesday so I will try to squeeze as much as I can in before then!!   Here's a look at my plans:

Peek at my Week {Winter Birds/VA Symbols} 1-13-14

 I have been a little behind lately, but feel very good about my plans for this week.  I do have them prepared and will try to share tomorrow some of the activities that we will be doing this week.  We are going to continue talking about winter birds and begin to look at Virginia Symbols (cardinal, flag, tree).  I'm in the process of making some emergent readers, flip books and other activities to help teach the VA symbols.  Stay tuned if you'd like to get them! Here is a Peek at My Week a few days late....I was planned just not typed and saved the way I wanted.  The pictures in my plans will take you to the products if you download my plans in Google drive.  

It's reindeer week!!  We have already talked about Caribou for 2 days and the kids are loving it!  They are S-H-O-C-K-E-D that reindeer are real and are trying to understand that they are also called Caribou.  I'll be back later in the week to share some pictures of our fun reindeer activities.  Click any picture above to download my plans and get the links to products.

And lastly, it really is December isn't it?  Well here goes nothing...

All of these are very self explanatory I believe.  Our biggest holiday tradition is that we do not travel on holidays!  We do not like the traffic and want to spend the time with our family.  I guess I also should have said that we always put up our Christmas decorations the day after Halloween!  Yes, even before Thanksgiving!  We love this holiday!!
